Tuk Gong Moo Sul Techniques

  1. Knifehand block to outside of opponent's wrist.  Grab with both thumbs on back of opponent's hand and walk under attacker's arm in front of his body with inside leg back on takedown.  Finish with knee to arm for break

  2. Knifehand block to outside of opponent's wrist. Grab with both thumbs on back of opponent's hand.  Walk under to back of their body with inside leg back on takedown.  Finish with knee to arm for break

  3. Knifehand block to inside of opponent's wrist.  Step forward punch to solar plexus, grab and step through, staying in front of opponent.  Force opponent to bend down, bringing his wrist to rest on your knee, slide your reverse hand from the shoulder to the elbow and break opponent's elbow with a reverse hand tigermouth to the elbow.

  4. Inside out knifehand block to opponent's wrist.  Grab opponent's wrist and open up shoulder for an elbow strike to his shoulder.  Grab the back of his head, knee to face, finish with osoto gari

  5. Similar to #1.  Knifehand block to and step outside of opponent's wrist.  Grab opponent wrist in baseball bat grip.  Step toward inside of opponent's body and then to back of his body and throw by forcing opponent into an arm bar over your shoulder.  Tuck his elbow and hand behind head and strike to chest

  6. Inside out backhand slap or knifehand block to outside of opponent's wrist.  Grab wrist and with your hand on opponent's elbow, step back around to body drop with knee break then kneel on his elbow.

  7. Inside out backhand slap to opponent's wrist.  Grab wrist, step in to major hip throw position without bending your knees, locking opponent arm across your chest.  Throw or arm break to pull him over hip

  8. Inside out backhand slap to opponent's wrist.  Grab wrist and step in and under.  Back to opponent's chest.  With arm resting on on your shoulder place one hand on his elbow, lock the back of his elbow against your body.  With other hand bend fingers toward his body, dip you shoulder and throw him

  9. Inside out knifehand block to opponent's wrist.  Grab opponent's wrist with both hands baseball bat grip, step in parallel with opponent, with your front shoulder on his straight elbow force a throw.

  10. Inside out knifehand block to opponent's wrist.  Grab opponent's wrist with both hands baseball bat grip, step in parallel with the opponent, with front shoulder on straight elbow forcing a throw

  11. Oustide in knifehand block to opponent's wrist.  Grab opponent's wrist with thumb on the back of the hand, turning 270 with the outside leg (two steps, one count) step in front, face to face with opponent (180), then step again, another 180 to that you are parellel and your back is now to opponent.  Drive his hand to the ground just inside your knee.

  12. Oustide in knifehand block to opponent's wrist.  Grab opponent's wrist with thumb on back of hand, front kick to groin.  Step facing opponent and both of your thumbs to back of his hand to drive his palm to his wrist and to the groin, back leg turns perpendicular to opponent.

  13. Front hand blocks opponent's hand down, flying scissor throw

  14. Inside out knifehand and right to one arm or two arm shoulder throw or body drop

  15. Outside in block, grab sleeve, back hand to face and major outer reaping to both legs

Defending against reverse punch

  • From fighting stance - step out 45 degrees with lead leg, lead hand push block, outside in and grab wrist.  Lead hand then finish with backfist to the head, reverse punch to the head, or rear hand palm strike to the head, or rear hand ridgehand strike to temple.

Defending Same side wrist grab 

  • Turn palm down, step in with same side leg, pull hand away low across body, same side elbow to solarplexus

  • Defending Same side wrist grab - Step in with same side leg, push hand toward opponent, turn palm down, and pull across mid body, same side backfist to the head

  • Defending Same side wrist grab -Step in with same side leg, push hand toward opponent, turn palm inward, and pull away straight up, same side backfist to the head

  • Defending Same side wrist grab -rotate inward at elbow, opposite side knee to groin

  • Defending Same side wrist grab - Rotate outward at elbow, catch opponent's wrist wit htigermouth, lock opponent's wrist with opposite hand (index finger up) step into and press opponent's arm down with freed side, place arm acrss knee (horse stance) dislocate shoulder.

  • Step out or step in 45 with lead leg then either lead hand or rear hand push block to grab

 

Escape same side wrist grab 

  • Turn palm down, step in and pull hand low across body

  • Step in same side leg, push hand toward opponent palm down, then pull asay across body

  • Step in with same side, push hand toward opponent, turn palm inward, pull away straight up

  • Rotate inward at elbow

  • Rotate outward at elbow, catch opponent's wrist with tiger mouth and throw away

  • Make fist, rotate inward at elbow to expose opponent' forearm, step in with opposite leg and strike opponent's forearm (meaty part) with opposite forearm.

  • Rotate outward at elbow, catch opponent's wrist with tiger mouth, graab opponent's wrist with opposite hand, step into and press opponent's arm down with opposite side, place arm across knee and backfist to head.

  • Rotate outward at elbow, catch opponent's wrist with tigermouth, lock opponent's wrist, thumb up, turn outward under opponent's arm (facing away from opponent) drop to knee closest to opponent and throw, hold wrist and break elbow.

Defend Reverse punch 

  • From fighting stance - step in 45 with rear leg, rear hand push block outside in and grab wrist, step into and press opponent's arm down with opposite side.  Place arm across knee horse stance, backfist to head.

  • Defend Reverse punch - From fighting stance -lead leg steps back, front kick with opposite leg

Techniques against front kicks 

  • step back and grab from underneath (opposite hand), palm strike lead hand to face

  • step back and grab from underneath (lead hand), ridgehand to temple

  • step back and grab from underneath (twisted palm up lead hand), punch to solarplexus opposite hand

  • step back and grab from underneath (twisted palm up lead hand), double punch to temple

 

Techniques against cross side wrist grab

  • Step in with grabbed side and turn grabbed hand palm inward to pin opponent's hand with side of body, step through with opposite foot and grab around opponent's waist with free hand.  Throw opponent from elbow (similar to major hip throw)

  • Step in with grabbed side and twist grabbed hand inward to grab outside of opponent's wrist.  Step in with opposite side and press opponent's arm down with opposite side, dislocate opponent's shoulder

  • Step in with grabbed side and grab opponent's wrist with opposite hand, step under opponent's arm (end facing away), drop to knee closest to opponent and throw (keep opponent's wrist), dislocate opponent's elbow.

Techniques against cross side wrist grab

  • Step in with grabbed ide and pin opponent's hand to your side, step through with free side and throw from elbow

  • Step in with free side and grab opponent's wrist, turn 360 degrees under opponent's arm (arm should be locked at elbow over opponent's shoulder), drop straight down with wrist, pin opponent's arm between ground and knee

  • Step in with grabbed side and twist grabbed hand inward to grab outside of opponent's wrist.  Step in with opposite side and press opponent's arm down with opposite side.  Take opponent down to stomach, dislocate opponent's elbow across shin.

  • Step in 45 degrees out back with free side and pull grabbed wrist across mid body, grab opponent's wrist with free hand and step through and under opponent's arm (opponent's palm should be up) drop to knee closest to opponent and throw from the wrist, keep wrist and dislocate opponen'ts elbow with tiger mouth

 

Techniques from same side wrist grab

  • Turn grabbed hand palm up, grab opponent's wrist with free hand from underneath, turn grabbed hand to grab opponent's wrist, push opponent's arm and keep it twisted tight, throw by taking opponent's arm low across body pull opponent onto stomach with arm break elbow across shin/knee

Techniques against same side wrist grab

  • Turn palm up grab opponent's wrist with free hand from underneath.  Step through and under opponent's arm with opposite side, turn away from opponent and elbow opponent in the ribs, push opponent down and dislocate opponent's shoulder, backfist to face

  • Turn grabbed hand palm up, grab opponent's wrist with the free hand from underneath, turn grabbed hand to grab opponent's wrist, push opponent's arm and keep it twisted tight, throw by taking opponent's arm low across body, pull opponent onto stomach with arm, break elbow across shin/knee

  • Spin grabbed hand inward nd grab opponent's wrist.  Step in with same side and bend at the knees.  Reach behind opponent's elbow and dislocate/throw over shoulder

  • Turn grabbed hand palm up, grab opponent's wrist with free hand from underneath, turn grabbed hand to grab opponent's wrist from underneath (opponent's palm should be facing up) and place other hand on opponent's hand pressing it down and back to lock out wrist and straighten elbow, step and push opponent from wrist up and away at 45 degrees

  • Step in and grab opponent's wrist with free side, turn away from opponent and step under opponent's arm with grabbed side, throw and break elbow across knee

Techniques against cross side wrist grab

  • Rotate grabbed wrist inward and grab opponent's wrist.  Grab opponent's forearm by elbow (thumb underneath) with free hand (keep opponent's arm about waist level)  Step back with free side and throw (keep wrist), lockout wrist and break elbow across knee.

  • Grab inside opponent's wrist with grabbed wrist.  Grab opponent's forearm by elbow (thumb on top) and step in with free side, turn 360 degrees from the outside in under opponent's arm (locking out arm), take opponent straight down, pin arm with leg, punch to face.

 

Techniques against same side wrist grab

  • Turn into grabbed hand with feet together and knees bent and knifehand strike to opponent's wrist, step into deep front stance (free side leads) and double palm strike to opponent's ribs

  • Turn grabbed hand palm up, grab opponent's wrist from underneath and step in with free side.  Step in front (across) of opponent with grabbed side foot (locking opponent's elbow across chest) and place grabbed hand around opponent's waist, throw from elbow

  • Turn grabbed hand palm up, grab opponent's wrist from underneath and step in with free side, grab opponent's wrist with both hands and step in front (across) of opponent with grabbed side foot, put opponent's arm over closest shoulder (opponent's wrist should be at your belt, palm out, throw from elbow

  • Rotate grabbed hand and grab opponent's wrist, step in with grabbed side, step through with free side and throw over free side shoulder (one arm shoulder throw), keep opponent's wrist with both hands (palm out).  OPTION 1 - Break opponent's elbow across knee.  OPTION 2 - step over to arm bar

  • Turn grabbed hand palm up grab opponent's wrist from underneath and step in with free side, step in front (across) of opponent with grabbed side foot (locking opponent's elbow across chest and place grabbed hand around opponent's waist, throw from elbow

  • Turn grabbed hand palm up grab opponent's wrist from underneath and step in with free side.  Grab opponent's wrist with both hands and step in front (across) of opponent with grabbed side foot, put opponent's arm over the closest shoulder (opponent's wrist should be at your belt, palm out) throw from elbow.

  • Step to the outside of opponent's grabbing side and grab opponent's wrist with free side.  Free grabbed hand and step behind opponent with the grabbed side.  Drop into a deep horse stance placing grabbed hand in front of opponent's knees and move opponent's arm behind head.  Throw over shoulders keeping opponent's wrist controlled

  • Step to the outside of opponent's grabbing side and grab opponent's wrist with free side.  Free grabbed hand and step behind opponent with grabbed side, drop into a deep horse stance and move opponent's arm behind head, elbow strike to opponent's solar plexus with grabbed side knocking opponent down over grabbed side leg.

  • Turn grabbed hand palm up, step in and grab opponent's wrist with the free side, grab opponent's hand with grabbed hand (both hands should have control of opponent's wrist), step under opponent's arm with grabbed side, step back with and drop to free side knee, throw keeping opponent's wrist and break elbow with grabbed hand.
